Welcome to Millfield Science and Performing Arts College

My name is Sean Bullen, Headteacher at Millfield Science & Performing Arts College.  If you are a parent/carer or have ever been to Millfield, you are a member of “Team Millfield”.

I have been Headteacher here for ten years.  Our school is a smaller than average secondary school, and we think it is a happy, safe place for students to learn.  We want our students to be well educated, as well as well qualified; that is why we believe in the full educational experience.  We have an absolute commitment to extra-curricular clubs and activities in all areas, but especially we have a commitment to the Arts and Sport.

The results in 2016 were the best in the history of the school.  In recent years we were one of only a tiny number of secondary schools in the country to win a national award (Pupil Premium Award Winner 2014).  Last year we had a prestigious visit from Sir Michael Wilshaw, Chief of OFSTED, and we were massively over-subscribed with 283 first choices for 170 places.

Things look good, but there is no complacency here.  We will strive to improve all we do, to look to be the best school we can be for the community.

Yours in partnership,

Mr Sean, M. Bullen
